The Decatur County Saddle Club is looking for student volunteers to work the concession stand the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month from May-September at 6:00pm each time. This would count as official community service hours and count towards the graduation requirement.

The Decatur County School System is seeking applicants for a High School Chemistry or Physics teacher for Grades 9-12. Applicants should submit a detailed resume that includes previous employment experience and all Tennessee teacher license certifications. Applications may be picked up at the Board of Education Office or downloaded from www.decaturcountyschools.com under the Employment tab. Only applicants with a current Tennessee teacher license with an endorsement in Chemistry 6-12 (Endorsement Code 127), Physics 6-12 (Endorsement Code 129), or Biology 6-12 (Endorsement Code 126) will be considered for the position. Applications should be filled out online and resumes sent to Hugh Smith, Human Resources Supervisor at hugh.smith@decaturschools.org. The deadline for submitting an application is Friday, May 5, 2023.


We will begin our end of course testing tomorrow, Tuesday, April 18. Students who are scheduled to take an exam need to report to their testing area no later than 7:45am to have their attendance checked. 2nd breakfast will be at 9:50, and attendance will be checked for 2nd block at 10am.

End of the Year Events!


Riverside will begin end of course testing on Tuesday, April 18. Students will run their regular schedule on Monday and need to report at their regular time. We will begin following the testing schedule on Tuesday.

Reminder to all parents and students that TCAP testing starts tomorrow. Middle school and high school make sure chrome books are charged each day for testing. Please make every effort to have your child at school every day on time.

RHS HOSA attended the state leadership conference April 4-6. They were involved in different competitions and leadership events. Those attending where Hunter Maness and Austin Kelly that participate in CPR/First aide. On Tuesday, April 18th, we will have our first Festival of the Arts. This will be a collaboration of many of our art programs here at Riverside High School including art, band, choir, drama, and our new commercial music class. We start at 6:30pm in the RHS Cafeteria.
