Riverside High School’s G-Force and A-Team kicked off the 1st appreciation day celebrating our Bus Drivers. We love our bus drivers, and each one was given a water bottle, candy, thank you notes, a notepad, and a pen in a Nautical bag. Thank you for serving the students of Decatur County.







A huge Riverside congratulations to our girls’ volleyball team for their first varsity win. They defeated West Carroll 25-14, 25-19, 18-25, and 25-14 to win. Way to go, coaches and players. They play again this Thursday at RHS. Game time is 5:00.



Parents: please make sure you have submitted a new lunch form if your child may qualify for free/reduced lunch. The automatic roll over from last year ends this Friday. If a new form is not submitted, students will roll over to paid status.

Halloween Festival Fundraising Supporting the Decatur County Backpack Program.
The Decatur County Backpack Program supports students who show signs of hunger and their families in the Decatur County School System. The program buys food for students to take home monthly or weekly throughout the school year, while also buying other items as needed.

There will be vendor booths, food trucks, face painting, pumpkin painting, and more! All proceeds will be donated to the Decatur County Backpack program!

Riverside High School Letter Jacket Order/Sizing Day
The Balfour Representative will be on campus to take orders on Friday, September 15, during lunch.
Order forms are available in the office.
Please bring the order form and deposit to order. Students will be sized if needed on this day.
On Order Day: We accept cash, checks, money orders, & credit/debit cards for deposits.


The Decatur County School System is seeking applications for a Paraprofessional PreK (Teacher Assistant) position. Applicants must be 21 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. Prior to employment, the applicant selected must verify 2 years of college or pass the Parapro Assessment. Applicants must also successfully pass a TBI Fingerprint Background check as well as a physical by a Licensed Physician. Applications may be picked up at the Board of Education Office or filled out from www.decaturcountyschools.com under the Employment tab, Noncertified Application, and sent to Hugh Smith, Human Resources Supervisor, at Decatur County Board of Education, P.O. It was another great day on the links for our golf teams. Our girls won first again! Kallie Haggard was the medalist for the day. Great job, Kallie!!
Our boys’ team, consisting of River Fowler, shot well today. His score is improving each time out.

RHS EVENTS FOR SEPTEMBER 4TH - 9TH! HAVE A GREAT WEEK!


Way to go Panthers! Our Panthers started district play with a big win. Next week , we will travel to Dyer, TN to play the Gibson County Pioneers. We are Riverside!

The Riverside Golf team competed today at the Tennessee River Golf Club against three other teams. Our girls finished 2nd overall. On top of the great placement, Cheyenne McCormick had a hole-in-one during the match. FANTASTIC!! A big congrats to our ladies!


Congratulations to the Riverside High School volleyball team. The JV team won against Clarksburg 25-19 and 31-29. The varsity team fought hard and came up a little short, losing 25-7, 25-21, and 25-10. Their next game is September 5th at home against Scotts Hill. Game time is 5:00. We invite you to come out and support these ladies and our new volleyball team.


Congratulations to the RHS girls golf team. They competed against three other schools today and came away with 1st place. Cheyenne McCormick, a RHS Junior, was the low medalist with a 39. Way to go ladies!!
