We had an RHS Math team to travel to Freed-Hardeman University today to compete in the TMTA Statewide High School Mathematics Contest. We had several individual students to place in the top 10 and we also placed as a team in Algebra I (2nd Place), Geometry (3rd Place), and Algebra II (3rd Place). Decatur County Schools is proud to welcome Mr. Dustyn Watson as the new Agriculture Teacher at Riverside High School! . Mr. Watson holds both a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and a Master of Science in Agriculture and Natural Resources from the University of Tennessee at Martin. While this is his first full-time teaching role, he’s no stranger to the classroom—having spent the last 7.5 years with the UT Extension - Decatur County as the 4-H Youth Development Agent, working closely with all 4th–8th grade students across the county. . Mr. Watson is excited to inspire and mentor the next generation of agricultural leaders, share his deep passion for agriculture, and create hands-on, impactful learning experiences. He’s also looking forward to getting involved in FFA competitions and leadership activities at Riverside. .
