The Decatur County School System is seeking applications for an Elementary Teaching position. Only applicants with a current Tennessee teacher license with an appropriate endorsement for Elementary Education (PreK-4, K-5, or K-8) will be considered for the position. The Decatur County School System is accepting applications for the position of Parsons Elementary Extended School Program Director for the 2024-2025 school year. Applicants must be 21 years old and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Applicants must also successfully pass a TBI Fingerprint Background check as well as complete a physical by a Licensed Physician. JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Parsons Elementary Extended School Program is responsible for planning, supporting, supervising, evaluating, and directing all aspects of afterschool programming. This position ensures program compliance with state licensing requirements and the district. The director works in partnership with the Decatur County School System, families, staff, and students to develop and execute a caring and safe program for all students and workers. The Director is responsible for ensuring that programming reflects the mission and values of the Decatur County School System.

Now Hiring SPED PREK Inclusion Teacher
The Decatur County School System is seeking applicants for a PreK Special Education Inclusion Teacher that would provide instruction to VPK students with disabilities. Only applicants with a current Tennessee teacher license with an endorsement in Special Education K-12 will be considered for the position.

DCMS counseling office would like to invite any students that need hair, makeup, or nails done for prom, to sign up for time slots with the DCMS counseling office. This service that we want to provide will be completely free and open to the students attending prom.


The RHS Choir will present their Spring Concert on April 25th at 7pm in the RHS band room.
