MACHINE TOOL TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR – PARSONS Riverside High School (Hired by TCAT Crump)
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Crump is accepting applications for the full-time position of Machine Tool Technology Instructor to be located at Decatur County Riverside High School in Parsons, Tennessee.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Machine Tool Technology Diploma from an accredited technical institution and teaching experience preferred
Must have three (3) years of approved employment experience in the occupation to be taught beyond the normal learning period (generally four (4) years)
NIMS Certification or ability to obtain certification within one year
Applicant must have good communications and computer skills and be willing to remain current in the machinist field

Elementary/Middle Special Education Teacher
The Decatur County School System is seeking applicants for a Special Education Teaching position that would provide K-4 instruction to elementary/Middle school special education students. Only applicants with a current Tennessee teacher license with an endorsement in Special Education K-12 will be considered for the position. INVITATION TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids will be received by the Decatur County Board of Education, Decaturville, Tennessee, until 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday September 28, 2022. At this time, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the office of the Director of Schools of Decatur County, Decaturville, Tennessee for the following items:
1. Demolition and removal of the Decatur County Ag Extension/Juvenile Service Building located at 71 West Main Street Decaturville, Tn. 38329.
2. Company needs proof of Demolition Contractor Liability Insurance and proper licenses.
3. Contractor is responsible for properly disposing of all material from site.
4. Contractor shall maintain the structural integrity of adjacent building.
Interested bidders will need to contact Keith Dickson, Facilities Manager, to do an onsite inspection of the project.
Bids shall be presented in sealed envelopes, plainly marked on the outside with BID TO DEMOLITION and name of person or firm submitting bid. Bids will be received only from responsible firms or persons capable of filling same.
The board has committed to award bid to the low bidder.

September is Attendance Awareness Month and todays attendance fact is, Students who are chronically absent in 6th grade have lower achievement than their peers. #SchoolEveryDay
Attendance matters for our students!
Today is National "Read a Book" day! We encourage everyone to read a book with their child today and enjoy that time together! "The best predictor of future education achievement and life success is reading ability," (Guthrie, 2017).
Students will be in school Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Thursday will be inservice for teachers and Parent Teacher conference from 2:00-6:00pm. Friday is a professional development day for teachers.
