Tryouts for the DCMS Lady Panthers' basketball team will be held on August 14th from 4-5pm in the DCMS gym. This will be for girls in grades 4th-8th grade that missed tryouts back in March. Please see the attached picture for more information.
Due to driver shortage, buses 7 and 29 will run approximately one hour behind picking students up in the morning, Monday, August 15th. Buses 7 and 29 will run late tomorrow but will pick up students as soon as they can. Thank you for your understanding!

The Decatur County School System is seeking a part-time aide for the Little Panthers Preschool and Daycare. Duties will include light cooking and cleaning, helping with children, and providing assistance to teachers. The position is four hours per day, five days a week. Students that ride bus 8 in the afternoons will not leave their schools until approximately 3:30 pm each day until further notice. Students will be supervised and monitored during this time. Thank you for your understanding.
There will be a free "yard sale" tomorrow for school clothes, shoes, and accessories from 3:00 - 6:00 pm. This will be hosted at Coordinated School Health located at 40 School Drive in Parsons.

Decatur County Schools opened up the 23-24 school year with Kate Martin and Commissioner Brad Turner. We would like to thank UTM Parsons, Cowboy's Steakhouse, FBC Parsons, and Jaqueline Fisher for the breakfast and lunch today.

New student orientation at Decatur County Middle School will be held on August 1st from 5:00-6:00pm beginning in the DCMS gym. This is for any new students and 5th grade.

Open house at both Parsons and Decaturville Elementary schools will be held during registration on the morning of August 1st from 7:30-9:30am. At this time, families can drop off school supplies, meet the teacher, and tour the classrooms.

There will be a special called board meeting on Tuesday, July 25th at 6pm with a board work session at 5pm in the board room at the board of education.
Freshman orientation will be held at Riverside High School on August 1st at 7:00 pm. All new students and Freshman are encouraged to attend!
