Welcome to the Panther Pack, Mrs. Breanna Autrey! 💙💛💙
.
We are excited to introduce Mrs. Breanna Autrey, who will be ssigned to Parsons Elementary as our new 3rd Grade ELA teacher!
.
Mrs. Autrey earned her Bachelor of Science in Integrated Studies from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She brings valuable experience from substitute teaching, student teaching in both third grade at Parsons Elementary and first grade at Decaturville Elementary, as well as serving as a Sunday School teacher at her church.
.
“My goal as a teacher is to inspire a lifelong love for learning and personal growth in my students—a passion they can carry with them into adulthood and their future,” she shares.
.
Breanna is especially excited to return to the same school she attended as a child and to pour into the lives of the same students she’s already had the joy of getting to know.
.
This summer has been extra special as she recently married her husband, Brayden! In her free time, Breanna enjoys art and painting. She loves creating banners and canvas pieces for friends and family, and even painted the mural in the Parsons Elementary lunchroom—a project she describes as both fun and meaningful.
.
Breanna’s inspiration to teach comes from the wonderful educators who poured into her life. “I want to be that same kind of positive influence for my students,” she says. “I want to make a difference that stays with them long after they leave the classroom.”
.
Parsons Elementary Principal Mrs. Lisa Renfroe shared,
“Breanna is a natural fit for our school. Her creativity, kindness, and genuine love for students shine through in everything she does. We are so fortunate to have her join our team, and I know she will make a wonderful impact in 3rd grade ELA.”
.
Please help us give Mrs. Breanna Autrey a big Panther Pack welcome as she starts this exciting new chapter. We can’t wait to see all the great things she will do! 💙💛💙

Welcome to the Panther Pack, Ms. Jaclyn Arnold! 🐾
.
Decatur County Schools are proud to welcome Ms. Jaclyn Arnold, assigned to Parsons Elementary as the new Pre-K teacher for the upcoming school year!
.
Ms. Arnold holds a Bachelor of Science in Education (K–5) from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Her journey with Decatur County Schools began in February 2022, when she joined the system as a teaching assistant. That experience, she says, helped reignite her passion for education and motivated her to pursue her teaching degree. Over the past two years, she has continued to serve as an assistant while working toward her goal of becoming a certified teacher.
.
Now stepping into her own classroom, Ms. Arnold says her goal is "to create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment where each child feels valued, supported, and inspired to learn. I want to spark curiosity, promote kindness, and lay a strong foundation that prepares them for a lifetime of learning."
.
What excites her most about teaching Pre-K? “The opportunity to make a lasting impact during such a foundational year in a child’s educational journey,” she says. “Pre-K is a time of incredible growth, and I’m honored to be part of that important season in my students’ lives.”
.
Outside of the classroom, Ms. Arnold enjoys spending time with her siblings, friends, family, and church family. Whether she’s cheering on her brothers at their ballgames, enjoying a concert, or relaxing at home with her energetic Yorkie, Dolly—her life is full of fun, laughter, and love.
.
She shares that she was inspired by teachers who made learning exciting and meaningful for her growing up. “Their encouragement helped shape who I am today, and I knew early on that I wanted to be that same positive influence for others.”
.
To her students, she says: “I can’t wait to meet you, learn with you, and cheer you on every step of the way!”
.
PES Principal Lisa Renfroe shared her excitement about Ms. Arnold joining the team, saying, “I’m thrilled to welcome Jaclyn to Parsons Elementary. She brings a passion for early childhood education and a genuine love for children. I have no doubt she will create a warm, engaging, and inspiring environment for our youngest learners.”
.
We are excited to see the joy, creativity, and dedication Ms. Arnold will bring to our Pre-K program. Welcome to the Panther Pack, Ms. Jackie! 💛💙

Welcome to the Panther Pack, Mrs. Kailey McKenzie!
.
Decatur County Schools are thrilled to welcome Kailey McKenzie as our newest educator! A proud alumna herself, Kailey is coming home to the halls where her own learning journey began.
.
Kailey brings a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Kansas State University and three years of experience teaching 4th grade at Lexington City Schools, where she taught Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts.
.
Her passion? Cultivating a love of reading in every student. Mrs. Kailey states, “It’s my greatest joy when students excitedly share their books with me and even give me recommendations. That’s how I know I’ve made a difference.”
.
Kailey is especially excited to give back to her hometown community of Decatur County, alongside her husband Grant and their two daughters, Caroline and Charlotte.
Outside the classroom, you’ll likely find her deep in a novel—she’s part of three book clubs!
.
Mrs. McKenzie is assigned to Parsons Elementary, teaching 4th Grade ELA.
.
PES Principal, Mrs. Lisa Renfroe, shares: “I am very excited to have her on board. I’m already very impressed with the excitement she has to be at Parsons Elementary and to meet her students. Kailey went to school as a student at Parsons Elementary, and so I’m very excited for her and her family to be back.”
.
Please join us in giving a warm PES welcome to Kailey McKenzie—we can’t wait to see the magic she brings to our school!
