Health Services in School Setting:
Under the requirements of. T.C.A. § 63-1-173, students cannot receive non-emergent medical care absent parent consent. This may include, but is not limited to, cleaning and bandaging minor cuts or abrasions, providing and ice pack, or managing illnesses and or injuries that can occur during a school day. If consent is provided, it will remain in effect during the school year unless withdrawn in writing by the parent/guardian.
There are two options to comply:
1) A paper copy will be sent home with your child.

2024-25 Decatur County Schools Calendar
The Decatur County School System is seeking applicants for a Mathematics teacher for Grades 7-12. Applicants should submit a detailed resume that includes previous employment experience and all Tennessee teacher license certifications. Applications may be picked up at the Board of Education Office or downloaded from www.decaturcountyschools.com under the Employment tab. Only applicants with a current Tennessee teacher license with an endorsement in K-5, K-8, or Mathematics 6-12, 7-12, or 6-10 will be considered for the position. Applications should be sent to Hugh Smith, Human Resources Supervisor, Decatur County Board of Education, 59 West Main Street, P.O. *Complete a Background Check and Physical prior to employment
