The Decatur County School System is seeking applicants for a Guidance Counselor. Applications may be picked up at the Board of Education Office or downloaded from www.decaturcountyschools.com under the Employment tab. Only applicants with a current Tennessee teacher license with an endorsement in Counseling PreK-12 will be considered for the position. Today, the DC BOE received a phone call from the Secret Service Field Office in Memphis and were notified that students from Henderson and Decatur Counties personal information may have been used to fictitiously file taxes and apply for loans. If you have received any suspicious calls, emails, or letters regarding your students personal information asking for or to verify their information, please email Dr. Lyndi King at lyndi.king@decaturschools.org or Mr. Hugh Smith at hugh.smith@decaturschools.org with your child’s name, school, the contact you received (call, letter, email), and a call back number to reach you. If you have not received any suspicious contacts, there is no need to contact us at this time. Thank you very much!
