The Decatur County School System is seeking applications for a full-time School Nurse. Applicants must have an Active LPN or RN license with experience in Pediatric Nursing preferred. Applications may be filled out online, picked up at the Board of Education Office, 59 West Main Street, Decaturville, TN 38329, or downloaded from www.decaturcountyschools.com under the Employment tab, Noncertified Application, and should be sent to Hugh Smith, Human Resources Supervisor at hugh.smith@decaturschools.org. Janitor Position
The Decatur County School System is seeking applications for Custodial Workers. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED prior to employment and successfully pass a TBI fingerprint background screening. Applications may be filled out online or downloaded from www.decaturcountyschools.com under the Employment tab, Noncertified Application, or picked up at the DC Board office and sent to Hugh Smith, Human Resources Supervisor, at Decatur County Board of Education, 59 West Main Street, Decaturville, TN 38329 or emailed to hugh.smith@decaturschools.org. The deadline for submitting an application is January 20, 2023.

DES will host the second quarter FFIN on Tuesday, January 10th at 5:30. Please make plans to attend! Students will do fun and educational STEM activities in the gym with Jennifer Medford from PBS, and parents will go to the classrooms for information on standards for the rest of the year. See you Tuesday!

Report Cards will come home with students Friday, January 6th, 2023. Please check with your student to see their report card or check Parent Vue.


Attention: Car rider parents/grandparents should not line up before 2:00 p.m.! Please share this information with anyone picking up your child at DES that may not get our messages.
Also, a car rider tag should be visible when picking up a student. If you need tags, call the school office. Thank you!

Today at our central office luncheon and meeting, we said goodbye to Ms. Ginger Teague, our coordinated school health leader. We will miss Ms. Ginger and wish her luck in her retirement and future endeavors!
