Decatur County Schools will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday due to the Winter Storm Warning from 6pm-noon tues. Tomorrow’s basketball with Adamsville has been been postponed. Afterschool and all other school activities need to be out of the school by 6:00 pm. All activities are cancelled for Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Decatur County School System is seeking applications for a Paraprofessional (Teacher Assistant) position. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Prior to employment, the applicant selected must verify 2 years of college or pass the Parapro Assessment. Applicants must also successfully pass a TBI Fingerprint Background check as well as a physical by a Licensed Physician. DCMS Cheer Coach
The Decatur County School System is seeking applicants for the position of Middle School Cheerleading Coach. Applicants should submit an application and/or detailed resume that includes previous employment experience. Coaching experience, along with a Tennessee Teaching License is preferred, but not required to be considered for the position. DES will host the second quarter FFIN on Tuesday, January 10th at 5:30. Please make plans to attend! Students will do fun and educational STEM activities in the gym with Jennifer Medford from PBS, and parents will go to the classrooms for information on standards for the rest of the year. Report Cards will come home with students Friday, January 6th, 2023. Please check with your student to see their report card or check Parent Vue.
