Cafeteria Workers
The Decatur County School System is seeking applications for part-time and full-time Cafeteria Workers/Substitute for the 2022-2023 school year. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. A cafeteria worker is responsible for preparing, cooking and serving food for students and staff, helping with deliveries and inventory and daily cleaning of cafeteria area and equipment where food is prepared. They must be able to lift 40 pounds. The Decatur County School System is seeking applicants for a Guidance Counselor. Applications may be picked up at the Board of Education Office or downloaded from www.decaturcountyschools.com under the Employment tab. Only applicants with a current Tennessee teacher license with an endorsement in Counseling PreK-12 will be considered for the position. Congratulations to Anna Kate Jackson, Molly Wyatt, and Blair Oevermann!
They were selected based on their exemplary performance in the youth livestock projects through exhibitions, judging and other livestock competitions encompassing beef cattle, dairy cattle, swine, sheep and goats.

The Decatur County School System will be holding a fundraiser at Rhinestones and Rust this Sunday during Open House from 1-5pm. All schools will be involved in wrapping gifts for donations and funds to the attendance incentive funds. Please come out and see us Sunday!


We are so proud of our HOSA students and Mrs. Ruthie Boroughs for going above and beyond to serve those in the nursing home in Decatur County. Students volunteered their time to paint Snowmen on the nursing home windows to give the residents something fun to look at! Thank you!
