Because the National Weather Service has extended the Ice Storm Warning for Decatur County through Thursday 6:00 am, Decatur County Schools and the Afterschool Programs will be closed Thursday, February 2nd.
Decatur County Schools will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday due to the Winter Storm Warning from 6pm-noon tues. Tomorrow’s basketball with Adamsville has been been postponed. Afterschool and all other school activities need to be out of the school by 6:00 pm. All activities are cancelled for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Paraprofessional (Teaching Assistant)
The Decatur County School System is seeking applications for a Paraprofessional (Teacher Assistant) position. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Prior to employment, the applicant selected must verify 2 years of college or pass the Parapro Assessment. Applicants must also successfully pass a TBI Fingerprint Background check as well as a physical by a Licensed Physician.
