New Registration for all schools in Decatur County:

Hey guys, if you have not turned in your computer and charger, please bring them to the alternative school tomorrow. Thanks.
Testing tomorrow will be at the board office. I will be there between 8 and 2. If you are scheduled to test after 2, report to the virtual school.
We are trying to finish up the end-of-semester tests by Tuesday afternoon. If you have not tested, please let Mr. Mathis or Dr. King know as soon as possible.
All computers, textbooks, and chargers must be dropped off at the alternative building by Wednesday at 2:30.
Report cards will be emailed to parents, or you can come by the alternative school on Friday between 8 and 11:30. You can also see grades in ParentVue.
If you have not registered for next year, even if returning to the brick-and-mortar school, please do so. If you need help, please let Dr. King know.
Thank you for being part of this first year. We have all learned some new things to help make this program better for next year.

REMINDER:

In May of this year, the Decatur County School System recognized the need to offer a virtual school in our district. In August, the Decatur County Virtual Academy opened its doors to students. Beginning with 27 students in August, the Academy currently has 67 full-time students. With this additional school, Decatur County Schools continuously works to meet students' needs.
To close out the first semester, tonight we celebrated three students who graduated from high school in December. While they will receive their official diplomas in May, we did not want to wait to share in this tremendous accomplishment. Graduating tonight are Cholena Miller, Cole Miller, and Shannon Wood. These three students completed every course required to graduate. We are very proud of them and wish them good luck in their future endeavors.
Thank you to Director of Schools Chris Villaflor, DCVA principal Mark Mathis, and guest speaker Dr. Tammie Todd Patterson for sharing with our students tonight. A thank you also to Bear Creek Baptist Church for allowing us to use its facilities to celebrate the accomplishments of these fine young men and women.
Congratulations to the 1st DCVA graduating class.
