Ms. Nicole Courtney is the Teacher of the Month at Riverside High School for February. Coach Courtney, as she is known to her students and girls basketball players, has been teaching and coaching at Riverside High School for over 12 years and currently teaches Junior English and coaches the girls basketball team. Ms. Courtney, according to Riverside administration, has been successful throughout her career both on the court and in the classroom. She makes a difference in the lives of students every day! Fellow teachers and staff said, "Nicole is an amazing teacher who maintains high expectations of her students all while being a successful coach and instilling valuable life lessons in each of these settings.” "She does her job well, day in and day out in the classroom. She has high standards and works with students that are trying. Plus extra with coaching...they even have shooting practice on some Saturdays and Sundays.” We are proud to call Coach Courtney a Decatur County Panther!
