Decatur County Schools

Ms. Brooklyn Eason, First-Grade teacher, was named Teacher of the Month at Decaturville Elementary School for January. Mrs. Melinda Thompson was asked why Brooklyn was chosen and she said, “She goes above and beyond for all of her students and makes sure they know she loves them. She comes in early to prepare for the day. She researches different topics to make sure she is knowledgeable about the subject and is always willing to share.” Ms. Brooklyn is in her second year of teaching, both at Decaturville Elementary.  Fellow teachers at DES said, “She is a ROCKSTAR!! Ms.B is an awesome teammate and one that I am very thankful for!”  We are so glad to have Ms. Brooklyn and are glad she decided to make Decatur County Schools her home!
