Decatur County Schools

Mr. Alex Whitwell, who teaches Algebra I and Algebra I Honors, was named Teacher of the Month at Riverside High School for the month of January.  According to RHS administration, “Alex is always on task and really cares about his students.”  Fellow teachers spoke highly of Mr. Whitwell, RHS Alum saying, “Coach Whitwell is living proof that really good coaches make really great teachers.”  We are so proud that Mr. Whitwell chose to come home and to begin his career at the high school he graduated from.
