On Monday, November 13th, the Decatur County Afterschool programs, offered a free program called Cuts 4 Kids. During after school, parents could give permission for their students to receive free haircuts or nail care provided by twelve amazing community members that are all licensed professionals. These twelve ladies donated their time and supplies to provide these services for the students at no cost to them. The ladies that selflessly volunteered their services are from various local salons and include DeeAnna Heath, Chloe Maxwell, Dixie Creasy, Hannah Puckett, Josie Boroughs, Haley Reeves, Alesha Melton, Melissa Mitchell, Brandy Tuberville, Chrissy Renfroe, and Supriya Box. This event was organized by Dr. Amanda Creasy and each school afterschool lead, Leslie Starrett, Joyce Williams, and Dee Brown. Thank you so much to all the amazing ladies that made this happen for our community and students! We ARE Decatur County!
