Decatur County Schools

Mr. Joel Jones, 5^th grade Science teacher, was named Teacher of the Month at Decatur County Middle School for the month of October.  His fellow teachers said, “Mr. Joel is always uplifting and encouraging, and the students really enjoy his lessons.  He helps students set goals to achieve academic success.”   Mr. Joel was voted on by the teachers and staff at DCMS for this award.  Mr. Joel is a graduated of Riverside and chose to come back and spend his career teaching here.  We are very proud that Mr. Joel chose to come home and teach in Decatur County!
