Decatur County Schools

Ms. Scarlett Haskins, high school math teacher, was named Teacher of the Month at Riverside High School for the month of August. Mr. Lex Suite was asked why Ms. Scarlett was chosen and he said, “She consistently goes above and beyond even while teaching MULTIPLE preps. She cares about her students. Her achievements are backed by her data, observations, and her students' achievement. She has been a team player and a great sounding board to others.” Her fellow teachers said, “She is always teaching and learning new strategies to help her students achieve.”  Ms. Scarlett is a veteran math teacher who was previously teaching Spanish.  We are so proud to have Ms. Scarlett Haskins educating the students of Decatur County!
