Director Chris Villaflor is excited to announce Coach Brian Reid as the new Riverside High School Lady Panther Basketball Coach for the 2023-2024 season. Coach Brian Reid is a proven leader both on and off the court. In addition to coaching the Lady Panthers, Coach Reid will also be serving as part of the RHS Administrative Team.
Coaching Highlights:
- Taught and coached in various classes and sports in public high schools for 10 years
- started the basketball program in 2008 at SCA
- coached basketball at SCA for 16 years
- Compiled a total of 501 wins in 16 years at SCA with girls and boys
- Girls were 180-54 over the last eight years
- Girls were 73-12 over the last three years
- 12 seasons of 20+ wins
- coached 19 players who surpassed the 500-point mark for their career
- has served as principal for the last nine years at Savannah Christian Academy
Coach Reid had the following comments on being named head coach for the Lady Panthers: "I'm extremely excited about the opportunity to lead the Riverside Lady Panther basketball program. They have an established tradition, and I look forward to continuing with those expectations in the future. My desire for our program is that we instill values and principles on and off the floor that will help the girls be successful in all areas of life."
