Brock Smith, 9th grade student at Riverside High School, recently participated in an essay contest through the Beta Mu Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. Brock won 1st place for his essay on “Overcoming Quarantine” at the local level and was recently notified that he also won 1st place at the state level! Brock will be presenting his essay at the Tennessee State Organization Convention meeting of Delta Kappa Gamma on Friday, June 2, 2023 at The University of the South in Sewanee, TN. Brock’s sponsoring teacher at Riverside is Mr. Jay Cox and the Beta Mu Chapter President is Mrs. Angie Boggan. We wish Brock the best as he represents Riverside High School and Beta Mu Chapter! Brock is the son of Chad and Bridget Smith of Decaturville. The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International is a professional honorary organization comprised of key women educators who are leading and impacting education worldwide.
