Decatur County Schools

Ms. Anita Coleman was named Teacher of the Month at Parsons Elementary School for the month of May. Her fellow teachers said, “Ms. Anita always has a smile on her face. She is so kind to everyone and it's incredible that she is able to come back to work with a smile after her accident last year.” Anita, long-term classroom teacher has taken on the job of running the Library at PES this year and works with students to develop a love of reading that will go with them for the rest of their lives. Dr. Scott King, Principal, said “Ms. Anita was voted on by her colleagues. This is a well-deserved aware for her. She has spent the past 37 years pouring into students in Decatur County.” Ms. Anta Coleman is a huge blessing to Parsons Elementary and Decatur County.
