Decatur County Schools

Dr. Amanda Pearcy was named Teacher of the Month at Parsons Elementary School for her work in elementary math, the afterschool tutoring program, and her willingness to help her coworkers. Her fellow teachers said, “She is great at what she does. She is very knowledgeable, and she will look until she has an answer. Amanda is an amazing math teacher who goes above and beyond for all of her kids! She is a wonderful coworker and is always willing to help wherever it may be that is needed!” Dr. Pearcy is a native Decatur Countian who chose to come back and use her degree to further the education and success of the students in Decatur County.
