Ms. Kim Snider, high school math teacher, was named Teacher of the Month at Eiverside High School. Mrs. Whitney Crider, assistant principal, was asked why Kim was chosen and she said, “She is a math whiz that has high expectations for the kids. She tutors after school. She goes beyond to help tutor students not only for her classes but for other math classes. She also is willing to do extra help for ACT. She has a lot of knowledge about the CASE tests in math - and is always willing to share her materials.” Her fellow teachers said, “She has the best interest of the students in mind all the time and gears her lessons and tests for the students to be successful. Kim goes out of her way to help bring students grades up.”  Ms. Kim is a veteran math teacher who was previously teaching math in Henderson County.  We are so glad to have Ms. Kim and are glad she decided to make Decatur County Schools her home!
