The Decatur County School System is seeking applicants for Decatur County Middle School Head Softball Coach Position. Applicants should submit a detailed resume that includes previous employment and related softball coaching experience and all Tennessee teacher license certifications. All certifications are encouraged to apply. A Tennessee Teaching License is preferred, but not required to be considered for this position. Lottery for Education Afterschool Program
Decatur County Schools is applying for a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant for extended learning to meet the academic needs of at-risk students attending Decatur County Middle School, 2740 US-641, Parsons, TN 38363.
The proposed grant would provide free afterschool services for students in grades 5th through 8th. Anyone needing more information about this proposed program should contact Dr. Amanda Creasy, Program Supervisor, at (731) 847-5914 or amanda.creasy@decaturschools.org.
The application and all documentation are available for public review after submission by request at the Decatur County Schools Board of Education, 59 W Main St, Decaturville, TN 38329.
The 21st Century Community Learning Center grant program provides federal funding for extended learning programs during after-school time. The program provides students with support and opportunities for academic enrichment, youth development, and parental activities and support. These centers also offer various services, programs, and activities. Each is designed to reinforce and complement the regular academic programs, including tutoring, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), community involvement, and recreational activities.”
